Our Commitment to Inclusion
Christians Practicing Yoga is dedicated to building and sustaining a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for all that is reflective of the unconditional love of Jesus Christ and the yogic philosophy of non-violence (ahimsa).
We believe every member on our team and in our community enriches our understanding of God’s love for humanity by exposing us to a broad diversity of ways to understand and engage with the world and each other; to identify and overcome challenges; and to grow in our understanding of God and self.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion means that while we primarily serve faith seekers in the West, we seek to welcome all people who wish to engage with us, while taking into account and honoring difference across denominations, religions, ethnicities, races, skin colors, cultures, generations, socio-economic backgrounds, gender identities and sexual orientations, as well as different skills, abilities, customs, values, behavioral styles, and beliefs.
We recognize that we will have blindspots. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to staff@christianspracticingyoga.com or use our contact form.
Our commitment goes beyond this statement. Our blog team has released several posts dedicated to diversity in yoga, Christianity, and where they meet at the crossroads. See the blog posts below to learn more.
